ILLINOIS - Gastroenterology - Locums

Position Overview:
A growing health system in Illinois is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This opportunity is based at a brand-new Ambulatory Surgery Center, designed to support rapid growth and keep patients within the system. With no call and no weekend responsibilities, this assignment offers excellent work-life balance.

Assignment Details:

  • Start Date: November 2025 – Ongoing

  • Commitment: At least 2 weeks per month for 12+ months (preference for 60–90 days out)

  • Schedule:

    • 3 days/week in outpatient surgery center (15–18 patients/day)

    • 2 days/week in clinic (15 patients/day)

  • Procedures: General GI only

    • No ERCP or EUS required (optional ERCP at main hospital if desired)

  • Call: None

  • Weekends: None

  • Support: Full-time CRNA and anesthesiologists at ASC

  • Credentialing: 60–90 days

Requirements:

  • Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist (MD/DO)

  • Active Illinois license or IMLC eligibility

  • Ability to commit to 2+ weeks per month for at least 12 months
