We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens opportunity with Intermountain Health's cancer program . This flexible assignment combines on-site patient care with remote treatment planning responsibilities, creating an ideal opportunity for providers seeking a balanced schedule, strong compensation, and ongoing recurring coverage.

Assignment Details:

Coverage Need:

• Ongoing assignment

• 1-2 coverage periods per month

Preferred Coverage Model: • 2 days per week on-site during normal clinic hours

• Remaining physician responsibilities completed remotely

Alternative Coverage Model: • 3 days on-site during one week

• Remote coverage the following week

• Includes 1 virtual clinic day plus treatment planning and treatment oversight responsibilities

Patient Volume: Approximately 4-6 patients per day

Remote Responsibilities Include:

• Treatment planning

• Contouring

• Daily treatment image review

• Clinical documentation

• Active treatment oversight

Requirements:

• Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist

• Experience with treatment planning and contouring

• Comfortable working both on-site and remotely

• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills

• Ability to maintain continuity of care for active radiation patients

Responsibilities:

• Radiation Oncology consultations

• Evaluation and management of oncology patients

• Development and oversight of radiation treatment plans

• Treatment planning and dosimetry review

• Contouring and image review

• Collaboration with nursing and oncology teams

• Management of malignant tumors and appropriate non-neoplastic conditions requiring radiation oncology expertise

Compensation:

• $2,500 - $3,200 per day depending on volume and experience
