Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Vascular Surgeon to provide ongoing call-only coverage for a well-supported hospital in Kentucky. This opportunity offers a flexible 7–14 day per month schedule, ideal for surgeons seeking supplemental income or a balanced locums lifestyle.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP (or by mutual agreement)

• Duration: Ongoing

• Schedule: 24-hour call blocks, 7–14 days per month

• Setting: Mid-sized acute-care hospital with vascular and endovascular capabilities

• Support: Onsite vascular team, interventional radiology, ICU, and experienced surgical staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-call coverage for vascular surgery patients, including emergent cases such as aortic/arterial trauma, peripheral ischemia, and aneurysm repairs

• Admit, consult, triage, and manage vascular cases from call onset through post-op follow-up

• Coordinate care with existing vascular and hospital teams to ensure seamless transitions

• Document thoroughly in EMR and adhere to hospital call protocols

Requirements:

• Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Vascular Surgery

• Active Kentucky medical license or eligibility via IMLC

• Prior experience with call coverage and emergent vascular procedures

• Excellent communication and ability to integrate with existing teams
