Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity at a large hospital. This assignment offers a manageable call volume with strong support from Physician Assistants and Residents. Providers must be comfortable performing both cardiac and thoracic procedures.

Assignment Details:

• Coverage Dates: September Start 1 week per month ongoing (7 AM – 7 AM)

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

• Additional weekend coverage opportunities available throughout the year

• Providers must be able to cover the full week-long assignment

• Roughly 300 cardiac cases and 300 thoracic cases annually

• Relatively low-volume call environment

• PA and Resident support available

• PAs take first call

Requirements:

• Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon

• Must perform both Cardiac and Thoracic procedures

• Active Texas license or active IMLC

• Recent Cardiothoracic Surgery case logs from the past 12 months required

• Clean background required

Compensation:

• $3,500 per day with additional call back compensation
