No Call | Ongoing Need | Premium Compensation

Position Overview:
We are seeking two Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Virginia. This position offers a predictable schedule with no call responsibilities, manageable patient volume, and strong clinical support within a well-established healthcare system.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: Ongoing

• Multiple providers needed

• No call responsibilities

• Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day

• Department Size: 6 beds

• Admissions required

• Stroke-certified facility

• EMR: Epic

• Rounding on assigned patients only

Support Structure:

• 1 Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• 1 Registered Nurse

• 1 Medical Assistant

• Established multidisciplinary care team

Required Skills & Procedures:

• Upper GI Endoscopy with Biopsy

• Lower GI Endoscopy with Biopsy

• Foreign Body Removal

• Bleeding Control Procedures

• Variceal Injection Therapy

• PEG Placement

• Esophageal Dilation and Manometry

• Small Bowel Biopsy

• Sigmoidoscopy

• Colonoscopy

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Physician

• BLS Required

• Active state license preferred

• Experience with advanced GI procedures strongly preferred

Compensation:

• $3,800 – $4,500 per day
