Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with a well-established surgical program. This assignment offers a combination of inpatient coverage, call responsibilities, surgical cases, and outpatient consults supported by an experienced clinical team.

Assignment Details:

• Coverage Dates:

  • July 24 – August 3

  • September 25 – October 12

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7 AM – 7 AM)

• Inpatient coverage with outpatient consults as needed

• Typical Surgical Volume: 1–2 surgeries per weekday

• Responsibilities include:

  • Inpatient rounding

  • Call coverage

  • Surgical procedures

  • Outpatient consultations following surgical cases

Support Structure:

• Dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery APP support

• Clinic RN and LPN support

• Full operating room team

Required Procedures:

• CABG

• Valve Repair and Replacement

• Pericardial Window

• Lung Resection

• Vascular Procedures, including Endarterectomies

Requirements:

• Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon

• American, AOA, or Canadian Board Certification accepted

• Active state license preferred

• Ability to provide comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgical coverage

Compensation:

• $3,500 per 24-hour call day (includes 4–5 hours)

• $400/hour callback
